In Paris, the proximity to monuments causes real estate prices to rise, often very high. A study by Meilleurs Agents revealed that apartments with a view of the Eiffel Tower do not necessarily have the highest prices per square meter. The Notre Dame cathedral sector, for example, is seeing higher prices.
In Paris, buying a property overlooking a monument is a luxury that not everyone can afford. And for good reason, prices per square meter near such buildings are often ten times higher. This is confirmed by a study conducted by Meilleurs Agents, our colleagues from

Rare goods are as close as possible to the Eiffel Tower
In the capital, the most famous – and the most visited monument in the world – is the Eiffel Tower. Thus, in the Gros-Caillou district of the 7th arrondissement, the average price per square meter for an apartment is 13558 euros, while the average price per square meter for an apartment is 10187 euros in the whole city.
But prices can still go up some more, especially on the Avenue de Suffren side. On the higher floors, the owners sometimes have the impression of a

. Logically, a square meter is trading around 20 thousand euros. Especially since goods are scarce in this sector.
3.2% increase in prices on the Notre Dame side
However, Meilleurs Agents stress that it’s not the monument near which prices explode the most. In fact, you have to go to the Notre Dame cathedral side to find properties that can reach about 40 thousand euros per square meter, when they have a breathtaking view of the building. These are very high-end apartments, with the sector average averaging around €16,666, an increase of 3.2% over one year.
In other areas with churches classified as historic monuments, real estate prices are also high. This is the case in Saint-Germain-des-Pres with an average of 16,248 euros per square meter for apartments. Finally, in the “The Most Beautiful Street in the World” sector, the Champs Elysees, the average price of apartments exceeds 15,000 euros per square meter.
